DelGate Logistics is a leading provider of third-party logistics services in Canada, specializing in warehousing, fulfillment, and international freight solutions. We are expanding our international freight division and are looking for a skilled and experienced International Freight Broker to join our team.

Position Summary:
As an International Freight Broker, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating ocean and air freight bookings. You will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate paperwork, booking freight, and providing outstanding service to our international clients.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate international freight bookings, both ocean and air, ensuring timely and cost-effective transport solutions.

Communicate with clients, carriers, and agents to manage shipments from origin to destination.

Prepare and file all necessary international freight paperwork, including bills of lading, customs documentation, and other regulatory requirements.

Negotiate rates with carriers to ensure competitive pricing for customers.

Maintain and update shipment records in our internal system.

Provide proactive updates and solutions to clients regarding shipment status and potential issues.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in international freight booking, with expertise in both ocean and air freight.

Previous experience working for a Canadian or American freight forwarding company is a must.

Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

FIATA degree or certification is a strong asset.

In-depth knowledge of international freight paperwork and customs regulations.

Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Working Hours:

8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Pacific Time, Monday to Friday.

Must be comfortable working at night due to time zone differences with international clients.
