Job Summary:
We are seeking a Pricing Administrator to join our team and help us maintain a competitive edge while maximizing profitability. You'll manage pricing across our extensive auto parts catalog using our proprietary pricing engine, ensuring alignment with internal goals and market benchmarks. This role requires a data-driven individual with strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance strategic pricing with day-to-day execution.
Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain pricing for thousands of auto parts SKUs using our proprietary pricing engine.
Set and adjust pricing strategies based on brand, product category, cost ranges, part type, and market conditions.
Perform competitor research to ensure our pricing is among the most attractive in the market while maintaining healthy margins.
Proactively identify opportunities for margin improvement and suggest pricing strategies.
Prepare reports and present findings clearly to management.
Confirm all major pricing updates and changes with leadership before final deployment.
Regularly review and audit catalog pricing for accuracy and competitiveness.
Collaborate with purchasing, marketing, and operations teams on promotions, new launches, and pricing initiatives.
Ensure compliance with Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) policies where applicable.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data validation, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
Highly detail-oriented and able to work through large datasets.
Analytical mindset — comfortable interpreting and drawing insights from numbers.
Ability to research competitor pricing quickly and effectively.
Basic understanding of the automotive parts industry is an asset (but not required).
Strong communication skills — able to clearly summarize and validate pricing changes with management.
Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus Skills:
Experience with API data handling, inventory systems, or product information management (PIM) tools.
Previous experience in auto parts distribution, retail, or wholesale pricing roles.
Knowledge of market intelligence tools or pricing software.
