Position Summary

The ESX File Specialist is responsible for transforming photographic data into standardized ESX packages used for our 3D tour viewer and integrations. You’ll ensure every file meets quality, accuracy, and performance benchmarks before delivery to clients or downstream systems.

Key Responsibilities
• ESX File Creation & Validation
• Import raw scan data (point clouds, 360° imagery) into the ESX export pipeline
• Configure scene hierarchy, object metadata, and measurement anchors in ESX format
• Run automated and manual QA checks to verify file integrity, proper compression, and load times
• Process Optimization
• Develop and document best practices for ESX export settings, balancing fidelity vs. file size
• Identify bottlenecks in the pipeline and propose tooling or workflow improvements
• Collaborate with engineering to automate repetitive steps via scripts or batch processes
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Data Collectors to troubleshoot missing or corrupted source assets
• Coordinate with Product and Engineering teams to integrate new ESX viewer features
• Support Customer Success by investigating file-related issues escalated by clients
• Quality Assurance & Troubleshooting
• Maintain a defect log for ESX files and track resolution progress
• Provide after-action reviews to reduce recurrence of common file errors

Qualifications
• Experience:
• 2–4 years in a 3D data production role, with direct experience creating or manipulating ESX file formats
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating across ops, engineering, and client teams
• Proven problem-solving mindset with the ability to diagnose complex pipeline issues
