Estimator

As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the construction industry by analyzing project requirements and providing accurate cost estimates to ensure successful project completion.

Duties

*Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project specifications
*Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates
*Utilize construction management software such as (but not limited to) Bluebeam for estimating purposes
*Execute full take-offs for residential construction projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
*Contract drawings
*Ensuring all project costs adhere to building codes, safety regulations, and other legal requirements in residential construction
*Researching and maintaining updated information on market costs for materials, labour, and subcontractor rates to ensure accurate estimates
*Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
*Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction process

Qualifications

*Excellent English communication
*Proven minimum 2 years of experience in residential construction estimating
*Proficiency in construction estimating techniques and software
*Strong understanding of construction contracts and building processes
*Knowledge of cost control principles in the construction industry
*Experience in project management within a construction environment
*Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing from vendors and subcontractors
