JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced WordPress Backend Developer to work with us long term on various client web and automation projects. We work on projects that include sales, lead generation and marketing automation, as well as performance-driven web solutions. You'll play a key role in delivering tailored, scalable and high-converting WordPress sites. These are more than just brochure sites — we need someone who thrives in solving technical challenges, implementing smart automations, and helping brands grow.

You will be responsible for designing, coding and maintaining high-quality WordPress websites, plugins and third party automations. Your expertise will help us deliver tailored, responsive and user-friendly sales and marketing solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, build and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins.
- Implement marketing automation third party tools and APIs including CRMs, email platforms and workflows - Zapier, Arlo, Kartra, Klaviyo, Stripe, PayPal, Klarna etc
- Optimise websites for performance, speed, and SEO.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver polished, conversion-focused solutions.
- Understand sales processes and online customer journeys for conversion.
- Troubleshoot and resolve back end website issues promptly.
- Ensure mobile responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility.
- Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends, tools and best practices for advanced optimisation.
What We're Looking For:

- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer (portfolio required including plugin optimisation and API Integrations)
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.
- Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development - WooCommerce, Membership Pro / Subscriptions / CMS and LMS experience like LearnPress would be a strong advantage.
- Solid understanding of responsive design principles.
- Familiarity with popular page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery).
- An eye for design.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with a friendly team.
- Experience with eCommerce platforms (WooCommerce).
- Familiarity with UX/UI principles.
- Basic graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or Canva).
- Understanding of SEO best practices.
- Understanding of PPC or Meta (not essential)
