About the Role
We are a fast-paced, U.S.-based property management company managing a growing portfolio of residential and small commercial units. We’re seeking a highly competent, experienced Assistant Property Manager to support day-to-day operations across leasing, maintenance coordination, vendor relations, and resident communication.
This is a remote position requiring strong English proficiency, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently while adhering to clearly defined systems, processes, and service-level expectations.

Key Responsibilities
Leasing Support
• Manage and update property listings according to internal format and schedule
• Respond promptly to prospective tenant inquiries and schedule showings
• Screen applications using AppFolio: verify credit, income (3x rent), and landlord references
• Process approvals/denials based on established criteria and communicate decisions professionally
• Prepare lease agreements, renewals, and move-in instructions
Maintenance Coordination
• Monitor AppFolio for incoming requests; categorize and prioritize based on urgency
• Assign vendors or in-house techs per SOP; track completion against timelines (1hr–24hr response SLA)
• Schedule and review inspection reports using RentCheck; follow up on required work
• Communicate clearly with tenants and vendors; document all updates and statuses
Administrative Support
• Keep internal spreadsheets (key log, listing tracker, leasing CRM) accurate and up to date
• Assist with tenant communications, document preparation, and notices (e.g., renewals, violations)
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Coordinator, Portfolio Manager, and other team members to resolve issues
• Run regular reports on leasing activity, maintenance timeliness, and other KPIs

Minimum Qualifications
• 3+ years of remote property management experience supporting a U.S.-based portfolio
• Strong proficiency in AppFolio (or similar property management software)
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English (C2 level or above)
• Advanced knowledge of leasing processes, tenant screening, and fair housing standards
• Familiarity with Google Workspace tools (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail, etc.)
• Able to work Monday–Friday with 4+ hours overlapping U.S. Mountain or Pacific Time
• Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and independent problem-solving
• Proven ability to follow processes, hit deadlines, and communicate proactively

Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience using RentCheck, Slack, and AppFolio automation features
• Understanding of U.S. lease legal language and common notices (N4, N10, etc.)
• Experience managing or assisting in turnover coordination (cleaning, keys, walkthroughs)
• Background in maintenance coordination or vendor relations
• Familiarity with remote inspection workflows or leasing CRM pipelines
