Temporary Photo Editor – Website Image Resizing Project (Full-Time Contract)

Company Description:
Cloth & Paper is a luxury brand known for minimalist, design-forward stationery and planning supplies. Along with our successful e-commerce store and subscription box, we’ve built a loyal customer base over the past 10 years, with 130,000+ social followers and features on the Today Show and Forbes. We were recently ranked #717 on the Inc. 5000 list.
We’re currently refreshing our website and need a temporary Photo Editor to help resize and prep images for our updated website theme.

Project Summary:
We’re looking to resize and reformat approximately 5,600 product photos for use on our new website. This is a full-time, short-term contract role, ideal for someone efficient, detail-oriented, and experienced in high-volume photo workflows.
Based on a time study, this project is estimated to take 8–10 weeks at 40 hours/week, with a completion goal of late June 2025.

Scope of Work:
- You’ll be responsible for executing the following steps as part of the editing workflow:
- Downloading product images from Shopify or Dropbox
- Opening and editing images in Photoshop
- Resize product photos to 1800 x 2400 pixels (3:4 aspect ratio), adjusting composition by either cropping in or expanding the backdrop
- Performing simple masking on images where backgrounds don’t match our swatch (#E5E5E5) to replace with the correct background color
- Resizing finished images to ?400kb with the longest side at 2400 px.
- Uploading finalized images to Dropbox, organized into subfolders
- Uploading resized images back into Shopify
- Copying over existing alt text and renaming files as needed

You’ll be working closely with our creative and eCommerce teams to ensure consistent quality and brand alignment throughout.

What We’re Looking For:
- Strong proficiency in Photoshop and high-volume photo editing
- Experience editing for eCommerce or product listings
- Detail-oriented with a good eye for consistency and composition
- Organized and comfortable working independently with clear timelines
- Familiarity with Shopify is a plus
