Motion Graphics Designer / After Effects Specialist

About Us:
We are Region Five, a small creative production company based in Germany. Our 5-person team works on exciting video and 3D projects in the fields of technical product visualization, food & beverage, and virtual production. We value creativity, clarity, and precision – and we’re looking for a talented Motion Graphics Designer to join us long-term.

What You’ll Work On:
• Design and animation of motion graphics for product videos and brand content
• Creation of 2D and 2.5D animations, transitions, and visual storytelling elements
• Animating infographics, typography, icons, and abstract scenes
• Bringing storyboards or rough concepts to life with clean animation
• Working with existing brand assets or developing new visual styles
• Collaborating with editors, designers, and project leads
• Organizing and maintaining animation files and templates

What Skills and Attitude We’re Looking For:
You don’t need to be perfect at everything from day one. If you're motivated to grow, we're happy to support you.

Must-Haves:
• Excellent skills in After Effects (our core motion tool)
• Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator and Photoshop)
• Experience with motion design principles (timing, easing, composition)
• Comfortable animating both text and vector-based graphics
• Ability to interpret briefings and visually communicate ideas
• Comfortable in an online work environment (we use Element, Monday, MS Teams, Zoom)
• Good attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Able to work interdependently – independently, but as part of changing teams
• Appreciates innovation and collaboration
• Trustworthy and reliable
• Clear English communication skills
• A strong sense for visual design and clean aesthetics

Bonus Skills (not required):
• Basic experience with 3D software (Cinema4D, Blender, etc.)
• Knowledge of Plugins like Element3D or Red Giant Suite
• Compositing and Matchmoving skills (inkl. Nuke or Fusion)
• Familiarity with Unreal Engine or real-time graphics
• Knowledge of typography and graphic design theory
• Basic sound design or editing skills

• Flexible working hours – early birds or night owls, as long as communication works. Your work schedule is up to you, as long as we can reach each other when needed and the documentation is correct.

• Full-time position (40 hours/week)
• Reliable monthly pay: 3-month probation period with a monthly compensation of Php 50,000
• Full-time position after probation with salary and benefits (paid holidays, sick leaves, etc.)
