Australian Bookkeeper

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Bookkeeper or Accountant to join a growing Australian financial services firm. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled, reliable, and detail-oriented with a strong background in Australian bookkeeping and payroll.

Who We Are Looking For:

A qualified Bookkeeper or Accountant.
Certified in Xero and Xero Payroll.
Minimum 5 years of experience specifically in Australian bookkeeping and payroll.
Possesses strong integrity, dedication, responsibility, accountability, and work ethic.
Capable of working autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
Available to work undistracted from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Philippine Time.
Must have own reliable work setup: Computer/laptop, additional screen, mouse, keyboard, stable WIFI, and backup power.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Management: Liaise with clients via email for queries and support.
Bank Reconciliations: Perform weekly reconciliations.
Accounts Inbox Management: Manage client accounts inboxes.
Accounts Payable: Process bills (Hubdocs/Xero), prepare payments (ABA files), reconcile supplier statements.
Accounts Receivable: Manage outstanding invoices.
Month-End: Conduct reviews and reconciliations.
BAS Preparation: Prepare Business Activity Statements.
Payroll: Process payroll, interpret awards, onboard employees, calculate superannuation and leave.
Financial Checks: Review Xero data, Profit & Loss, and Balance Sheet.
Reconciliations: Reconcile Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss accounts.
Data Entry: Ensure accurate data entry.
Process Adherence: Complete workpapers and follow internal procedures.
Team Collaboration: Participate in meetings and suggest process improvements.
Adhoc Tasks: Assist with other bookkeeping, payroll, or CFO-related tasks as needed.
