Virtual Accountant – E-Commerce Business

About the Role:
We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Virtual Accountant to manage and maintain the financial health of our small online business. Your first task will be to bring our accounts fully up to date, followed by ongoing monthly bookkeeping to keep everything organized and accurate.

Key Responsibilities:

Reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly transactions using QuickBooks Online

Match bank transactions with Shopify sales reports, Wise payments, expenses, and other revenue streams

Track profit on each sale, factoring in costs, fees, and net margins

Prepare weekly and monthly reports including:

Cash flow summaries

Profit and loss statements

Daily profitability snapshots

Identify and resolve discrepancies or missing data

Keep financial records organized and audit-ready

What We’re Looking For:

Experience with QuickBooks Online and e-commerce bookkeeping (Shopify experience is a major plus)

High attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership over financial accuracy

Strong communication skills and ability to present financial updates clearly

Reliable, discreet, and able to manage sensitive financial data securely
