Children's Coloring Book Illustrator – Cute, Kawaii-Style Art

We’re looking for a talented illustrator to join our creative team, focusing on fun, cute, and playful designs for children’s coloring books. We publish a wide range of best-selling books and need a dependable illustrator who can consistently deliver high-quality, original illustrations.

What We're Looking For:

You must be able to draw in a cute, kawaii-style similar to the reference images provided (see attached examples).

Experience creating coloring pages for kids. (No A.I images)

Ability to draw fun, whimsical scenes featuring animals, sweets, nature, underwater creatures, and fantasy landscapes.

Strong attention to clean, bold linework suitable for coloring (no shading or color needed).

Illustrations must be designed for alcohol marker users, so details should not be too tiny or intricate — large, easy-to-color spaces are preferred.

Most pages will be 8.5 x 8.5 inches square format — slightly less work than standard 8.5 x 11.

Ability to deliver 12 original illustrations per week. (minimum)

Must speak very good English and be easy to communicate with. Communication will primarily be through WhatsApp.

Payment available via PayPal or Wise.

Trial Task (Mandatory):

Please complete the following trial task. Do not apply without submitting this trial page, as I will not be reviewing portfolios alone due to the number of applicants.

Trial Prompt: Draw a cute bunny rabbit and a small duck having a picnic on a giant cupcake, with a rainbow in the background and candy trees around them. The characters should be interacting (e.g. sharing a strawberry or pouring tea). The scene must be highly detailed, playful, and suitable for children to color — but avoid tiny details, as the page should be friendly for alcohol marker users. Use bold, consistent linework. 8.5inch x 8.5 inch

This must be your original work, not sourced or copied. It should be black and white, with no color or shading.

Send me a Google Drive link (make sure access is set to viewable) with your trial image inside.

Include a short paragraph about your experience.

You may attach a portfolio, but applications without the trial drawing will not be considered or replied to.
