About DSSmove:

We connect tenants receiving Universal Credit, Housing Benefit, and other social support with landlords and properties that understand their needs. As we grow, we’re expanding our educational content to help people better navigate the UK benefit system—clearly, simply, and visually.

The Role:
We’re looking for a talented Explainer Video Creator who can research, script, and produce short, engaging, faceless explainer videos using AI voiceovers—much like this style: ---------- .

Your videos will break down topics like:

How to apply for Universal Credit

What is Local Housing Allowance?

Finding landlords who accept DSS tenants

Tips for budgeting on benefits

Common tenant rights and how to exercise them

These videos will help the public understand the system and build trust in DSSmove as the go-to expert in the space.

Responsibilities:

Research and understand UK welfare/benefit topics

Write concise, engaging scripts in plain English

Create faceless explainer videos (2–5 mins) with AI voiceovers using a clear UK accent

Add relevant visuals, motion graphics, and subtitles

Align each video with DSSmove’s branding, tone, and mission

Make DSSmove the trusted name throughout the content

Deliver 2–4 videos per month (negotiable)

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience with creating YouTube-style explainer videos

Familiarity with UK housing and benefit systems (or the ability to learn quickly)

Strong scriptwriting and storytelling skills

Ability to use AI tools for voiceovers (e.g., ElevenLabs, Descript, etc.)

Video editing and animation skills (e.g., Canva, After Effects, Final Cut, CapCut)

Understanding of our audience: people receiving or applying for social benefits, often with low digital literacy

A self-starter mindset – we’re looking for someone proactive and resourceful

Bonus if you have:

Previous work with social justice, welfare support, or housing organisations

Experience growing a YouTube or social media channel
