Fast-growing digital marketing agency specializing in lead generation, SEO, paid advertising, and website design for U.S.-based home improvement contractors is looking for a Sr Website Content Writer. Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Website Content Writer with 5+ years of experience writing SEO-optimized website content for U.S.-based companies, preferably in the home services or local business niches. You’ll be responsible for creating persuasive, on-brand website copy that converts, ranks, and reflects the professionalism of the contractors we serve.
This role is ideal for someone who understands the nuance of high-intent local SEO, lead-generation strategy, and persuasive messaging — especially for blue-collar businesses.
Key Responsbilities
Write high-quality, conversion-optimized website content (homepages, service pages, about pages, location pages, etc.) for contractor clients.
Follow SEO best practices including keyword integration, semantic relevance, internal linking, and formatting for readability.
Collaborate with designers and SEO strategists to align content with layout, brand voice, and target keywords.
Develop clear and compelling messaging that communicates trust, authority, and local expertise.
Maintain a consistent tone that reflects each contractor’s unique value proposition.
Adhere to internal SOPs for content workflow in ClickUp and Google Drive.
Contribute to content briefs, brand voice guidelines, and client onboarding documentation where needed.
Conduct light research and industry benchmarking to ensure topical relevance and differentiation.
Minimum Qualification
5+ years of experience writing SEO-optimized website content, ideally for service-based or local businesses in the U.S.
A deep understanding of on-page SEO and how content impacts rankings and conversions.
Exceptional grammar, attention to detail, and the ability to write in clear, plainspoken English.
Strong research skills and ability to adapt writing style to different industries and client voices.
Familiarity with tools like Surfer SEO, Clearscope, or similar (bonus).
Comfortable working in collaborative environments using project management and cloud-based tools (ClickUp, GDocs, etc.)
