JOB OVERVIEW

**JOB OVERVIEW**

We’re looking to hire a Lead Photo Editor to drive the creative direction of our high school sports portraits and graphic design projects to ensure top-tier quality across everything we produce. As our first hire in this role, you’ll help lay the groundwork for growing a team—potentially expanding to 5–10 photo editors and play a key role in shaping our editing processes, standards, and workflows.

This role requires a sharp eye for detail, strong leadership qualities, and a deep understanding of trends in photo editing and AI tools. If you're passionate about editing, excited to build something from the ground up, and ready to help lead a creative department, we’d love to hear from you!

**PRIMARY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES**

- Composite solo and team portraits by cropping out athletes and enhancing background images.
- Build a library of photo elements that we can pull from to enhance all future portraits
- Build a catalog of graphic design templates for schools to pick from for their team pictures, season schedule posters, social media posts and facility banners.
- Hire, train and mentor new hires to uphold our standards.
- Manage the team, review their work, and maintain overall quality control.
- Keep up with the current trends such as implementing AI tools and advanced Photoshop techniques to keep designs fresh and innovative.

**ABOUT OUR COMPANY**

Elevation Point is a media production company based in Chicago, Illinois. We’ve been producing promotional videos and 360° virtual tours for K-12 schools across the United States for the past ten years and we’re now expanding into sports portrait photography by running photo shoots (AKA “Media Days”) for high school athletic departments. We’ll composite these pictures into cinematic portraits for families, as well as promotional materials such as team photos, posters, banners, and social media graphics for the school. Our goal is to make students look like pro athletes and high school programs feel like professional organizations—delivering the same level of quality you'd see at the collegiate or professional level.
