Video Editor (Long Form)

Long-Form YouTube Video Editor Wanted for Travel & Lifestyle Channel

We’re looking for a creative, reliable, and skilled YouTube video editor to join our growing travel and lifestyle brand. As our go-to editor, you’ll help bring our stories to life through long-form vlogs, cinematic montages, and engaging edits that keep viewers coming back for more.

This is a remote, part-time role (with potential to grow into more hours) — perfect for editors who understand storytelling, are passionate about the YouTube space, and stay current on editing trends.

What You’ll Do:
• Edit long-form YouTube videos using raw footage provided by the creators
• Occasionally create short-form content from the same footage for Instagram Reels & YouTube Shorts
• Select the best takes, splice and trim clips, and apply transitions, color grading, sound design, and text/graphic overlays
• Upload your edits to ---------- for review and revisions
• Review and implement revision notes in a timely manner
• Collaborate with us to make sure each video aligns with our brand, voice, and audience expectations
• Update our content database/workflow daily and help manage video repurposing ideas
• Communicate proactively if there are any delays or tech issues affecting delivery
• Prioritize time-sensitive content, especially during launches

What We’re Looking For:
• Strong portfolio of YouTube videos or vlogs
• Expert knowledge of modern editing techniques and storytelling for digital audiences
• Passion for video editing and keeping up with YouTube trends and formats
• Ability to follow a clear vision and bring your own creative input
• Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
• Great communicator (we value transparency and creative collaboration!)
• Can work within tight deadlines and be flexible when schedules shift

Success in This Role Looks Like:
• Creating long-form videos with at least 50% audience retention
• Producing content that increases engagement, watch time, and subscriber growth
• Developing a signature editing style others want to copy

Bonus Points (Not Required, but Nice to Have):
• Experience editing travel, lifestyle, or couple vlogs
• Basic motion graphics or animation skills
• Familiarity with YouTube analytics and what drives retention
