Must?Have Qualifications

3 + years professional 2D game art and UI?UX experience

Portfolio demonstrating consistent visual style, mobile?first UI flow, and animation polish.

Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator, Figma or Adobe XD, and basic motion tools (After Effects, Spine, or Unity Timeline).

Solid grasp of Unity 6 UI Toolkit / UGUI, prefab variants, and Addressables.

Understanding of interaction design principles, readability hierarchy, and color theory for free?to?play economies (shop, gacha, IAP flow).

Comfortable with Git (branching, pull requests) and remote agile workflows.

Strong written & verbal English for async collaboration.

Bonus Points

Experience optimizing art for URP, ShaderGraph, or lightweight custom shaders.

Familiarity with Unity Remote Config, Analytics, and A/B testing dashboards.

Knowledge of accessibility guidelines (color?blind palettes, font sizing, haptics).

Basic C# to wire UI events or create editor tools for designers.

Prior work on live?service games (seasonal events, battle passes, cosmetic stores).

Core Responsibilities

Visual Style & Asset Production
• Define and maintain the game’s 2D art style guide (characters, environments, VFX, icons).
• Create production?ready sprites, atlases, and simple Spine/Unity Animator rigs.
• Produce animation curves, particle sprites, and timing sheets for moment?to?moment feedback.

UI?UX Design
• Design intuitive HUDs, menus, and meta?progression flows optimized for single?hand mobile play.
• Build wireframes ? high?fidelity mock?ups ? interactive prototypes (Figma / Adobe XD).
Implementation in Unity
• Import, slice, and organize assets using Addressables and SpriteAtlas.
• Implement layouts with Unity UI Toolkit / UGUI and ensure responsiveness across 16:9, 19.5:9, and tablet aspect ratios.
• Hook up UI states to Remote Config variables for real?time A/B tests.

Performance & Optimization
• Budget texture memory, batching, and draw calls for 60 FPS on mid?tier Android devices.
• Iterate with engineers on atlas sizes, compression, and shader selection.
Collaboration & Pipelines
• Work in Jira alongside designers and programmers, delivering tasks in two?week sprints.
• Maintain version control hygiene (Git LFS) and document asset?naming conventions.

Live?Ops & Localization
• Provide layered PSD/FIG files for rapid skin swaps and seasonal events.
• Prepare layouts for right?to?left and length?variant localization.
