Experienced Web Programmer

ALR Technologies, Inc., a healthcare technology company, is engaged in the management of chronic illnesses. The company's flagship product, Health-e-Connect (HeC) System, is a breakthrough in patient/clinician communication. It encourages patient compliance to physician's care plans resulting in both near and long-term cost benefits for the insurer.

Required Technical Skills:

• 5+ years development experience using Microsoft technologies
• 3+ years recent development experience with .Net using VB.Net/C#/ASP.Net
• 1+ years of relational DB experience, ideally with SQL server
• Experience with at least one successful project converting ASP to ASP.Net
• Object Oriented Software Design and Development
• Experience using source code control, ideally with SVN
• Experience with test driven development
• Experience with automated/load testing tools
• Working knowledge of Classic ASP

Optional Technical Skills:

• ASP.NET Forms and MVC/Web Services
• xHTML, HTML5
• CSS2 with working knowledge of CSS3
• JavaScript with an emphasis on the jQuery library
• Understanding of Web browser compatibility issues
• AJAX
• Serial (RS232)/USB device communication
• Window Services

Required Personal Attributes:

• Posses university degree/diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or other related discipline
• Strong command of written and spoken English
• Works with high level of autonomy and able prioritize work to meet deadlines
• Is a team player who is able to work in a virtual team environment
• Able to work flexible hours in order to work with team members from different time zones
• Has access to reliable high speed internet access
• Possesses a valid passport and able to travel to North America for short work related trips
• Possess National Bureau of Investigation Clearance
