To date, we have helped 100+ companies, and trained 1000+ industry professionals, across 50+ countries in all major industries. Founded in 2018, we are headquartered in Brisbane, Australia but work virtually with most of our team based in the Philippines.

The company is growing with a small team of full-time and part-time contractors working across the Asia-Pacific region, currently all reporting to the Operations Manager, also based in the Philippines whilst our Managing Director is based in Brisbane, Australia. We deliberately hire talent in different regions of the world to keep costs down, create diversity, and build a multi-lingual team.


Role Purpose
The Social Media & Community Manager is responsible for developing and executing a cohesive social media and community engagement strategy that drives brand awareness, fosters meaningful interactions, and ultimately supports lead generation. This role includes managing multiple social channels (initially LinkedIn and YouTube) and stewarding the Reliability Academy’s online community, which currently serves students but may expand to a broader audience. This role involves coordinating with various internal tea ---------- mbers to ensure content aligns with our brand voice and marketing objectives.


Responsibilities
As Social Media & Community Manager your initial responsibilities will consist of:

Social Media Strategy & Content Management

- Develop and implement a social media content calendar across platforms (LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.), aligned with Reliability Academy’s marketing goals.

- Post regular content on the Managing Director’s personal LinkedIn page as well as the company’s LinkedIn page, ensuring consistency in tone, brand standards and messaging.

- Grow and engage the audience on YouTube through educational videos, industry-related content, and problem-solving tutorials.

- Potentially expand social media activities to Facebook and other channels, identifying where our target audience is most active.

- Monitor trends, best practices, and algorithm changes across all relevant platforms, and adjust the strategy accordingly.

Community Engagement & Growth

- Develop and oversee community engagement efforts, including membership onboarding, moderating discussions, and fostering user-generated content.

- Respond promptly to comments, messages, and inquiries across all platforms, promoting a friendly, informative, and professional tone.

- Coordinate webinars, “Player of the Week” features, or other engagement campaigns that spotlight user achievements and encourage active participation.

- Work with the broader team to evaluate opportunities for expanding the online community beyond students to a wider audience of professionals, partners, or industry peers.

Design & Visual Content Creation

- Create simple, visually appealing social media post images using Canva, following brand guidelines and utilising pre-existing templates where available.

- Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to ensure social media posts are aligned with the overall content strategy and are optimised for engagement.

Performance Tracking & Reporting

- Track and report on key social media metrics, including follower growth, engagement rates, click-through rates, and conversions originating from social platforms.

- Analyse community health by monitoring active users, retention, and user feedback, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.

- Prepare monthly reports summarising performance, highlighting trends, and suggesting actionable strategies to increase overall brand visibility and lead generation.

Cross-functional Collaboration

-Partner with the marketing team to align social media activities with overarching campaign goals, ensuring integrated messaging across email, web, and community channels.

- Collaborate with the content and product teams to develop multimedia assets (videos, webinars) optimised for sharing and engagement on social media.

- Provide feedback on emerging community needs or market trends to inform product development and content strategy.


What Success Looks Like
Success in this role will mean growing our social media following and engagement across all channels, with an emphasis on LinkedIn and YouTube. Additionally, success will be measured by:

- Increased Social Media Impact: Noticeable rise in LinkedIn followers, engagement (likes, comments, shares), and YouTube subscribers, watch time, and interactions.

- Community Growth & Satisfaction: Positive community metrics such as active membership, user retention, sentiment, and feedback scores.

- Lead Generation: Trackable conversions from social platforms and community engagement into newsletter sign-ups, course enrollments, or inquiries.

- Brand Consistency: Consistently delivering on-brand, high-quality content that aligns with Reliability Academy’s voice and values across all channels.

- Strategic Contribution: Proactive identification of new opportunities (platforms, campaigns) that bolster Reliability Academy’s market presence and drive long-term growth.


About You
We are looking for someone who is:

- Passionate about social media and staying up to date with the latest trends, tools, and best practices.

- Creative and detail-oriented, with a knack for creating visually appealing content.

- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- A strong communicator, both written and verbal, with a professional and engaging tone.

- Capable of analysing data to make informed decisions and continuously optimise social media performance.

- Experienced in using Canva or similar tools for designing social media visuals


Your Skills
Your knowledge, skills and experience:

- Proven experience managing social media accounts, particularly LinkedIn and YouTube.

- Basic design skills using Canva or similar tools.

- Experience tracking and analysing social media metrics and reporting on performance.

- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with an online community.

- Experience with video content creation or management would be a bonus.

- Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- A technical (engineering) background and/or relevant industry experience would be highly regarded


What’s on Offer
This is a long-term virtual role allowing you to work from home. You will work during Australian business hours i.e. your workday will fall between 7 am to 7 pm GMT+10 to ensure overlap with the rest of the team. There will be a 3-month probation period.

Base pay between USD 600 and USD 900 per month depending on experience and skills, with a 13th-month pay in December, 20 days of paid leave, an annual allowance of USD 1,000 towards Private Health Insurance and a chance to earn a performance bonus up to 3 months of salary (subject to business and personal performance).

Candidates who have relevant industry experience may earn a base pay of up to USD 1,200.
