Job Description:

We are seeking a talented video editor with a passion for storytelling to join our team. This is a long-term gig, not a full-time or part-time role, where you will be paid a flat fee of $50 to $100 to edit raw footage from client interviews into a 2-minute customer video testimonial and 30-second teaser videos for social media. We conduct 6 to 15 interviews per month, making this a fantastic ongoing opportunity for the right editor. You will also have the opportunity to create short-form videos to promote the company on social media.

Responsibilities:

Edit raw interview footage into 2-minute client testimonials.
Ensure video content captures viewers' attention in the first few seconds and keeps them engaged throughout.
Add lower thirds and end frames based on templates.
Apply color correction, music, and captions where necessary.
Deliver projects on time, with the first cut due no later than 3 days after the project is assigned.

Qualifications:
• Proven experience with Adobe Premiere Pro (required).
• Ability to find the best story in raw footage and craft it into a cohesive narrative.
• Attention to detail in editing and following templates.
• Good understanding of pacing and how to hold an audience's attention.
• Fast and reliable internet service.

Preferred Skills:
• Basic proficiency in After Effects or other video software is a plus.
• Knowledge of social media video formats and trends.

• Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting deadlines.
• Collaborative attitude with strong communication skills.

If your edit meets or exceeds our current editor's standards, you will be added to our roster of freelance editors. Please let us know what is your favorite color.

• Test Edit Details: We will provide raw footage, and you will have 4 hours to create a rough cut. Compensation: $25, with a $25 bonus if your edit is approved.
