High School Math (Algebra) Tutor

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic online math tutor to support our soon to be 9th-grade son. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in high school education and a passion for creating a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver one-on-one Algebra tutoring sessions
Review and reinforce current lessons and assignments to ensure material comprehension.
Design customized lesson plans tailored to the student’s unique learning needs and pace.
Provide guidance on homework assignments, emphasizing problem-solving skills.
Monitor and assess the student’s progress, identifying areas for targeted improvement.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents about the student’s progress, challenges, and any necessary adjustments to the tutoring approach.

Qualifications
Advanced level (C1+) of English.
Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, especially with high school (preferred) or college students .
Strong understanding of 9th-grade and beyond Common Core math curriculum and standards in California, USA.
Ability to design engaging and adaptable lesson plans.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to education.

Schedule
Availability between 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time Monday to Friday. Our time zone is in California, USA.

Compensation
$5/Hour (Depending on Experience)
