JOB OVERVIEW

Ecoterrain is a leading provider of SWPPP services, including plan development, inspections, BMP implementation, and compliance consulting. We serve construction, development, and industrial clients across USA helping them navigate local, state, and federal stormwater regulations.


The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and expanding our presence in the construction and environmental compliance sectors. This individual will play a critical role in driving revenue growth through strategic outreach, partnership development, and marketing coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in construction, development, industrial, and municipal sectors.
- Generate and qualify leads through networking, cold calling, referrals, and digital outreach.
- Develop and deliver presentations to prospective clients about SWPPP services and compliance requirements.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with general contractors, developers, engineers, and public agencies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create proposals, quotes, and service agreements tailored to client needs.
- Monitor bid platforms and RFP portals for relevant SWPPP-related opportunities.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote the company and establish brand visibility.
- Track sales activity in CRM software and provide regular reports to leadership.
- Stay current on local and federal environmental regulations (e.g., EPA, MS4, CGP, etc.) that impact client operations.

Qualifications:

- 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or client relations in environmental services, construction, or consulting industries.
- Familiarity with SWPPP, BMPs, NPDES permits, and stormwater compliance is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to generate leads, close sales, and meet revenue targets.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and proposal generation tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
