About the Role:
Urban Affiliates isn’t just a company—it’s a cultural force committed to empowering Black communities through media, storytelling, and connection. At the heart of our work is From the Bottom Podcast, a powerful platform for Black voices, as well as a growing collection of books, digital publications, and community-building initiatives.

We’re looking for a mission-minded, proactive Virtual Assistant who’s passionate about supporting Black-led movements, creative content, and helping launch impactful work into the world. This is your chance to be part of something that educates, empowers, and inspires on a national level.

You will work directly with the founder to support the growth of our content and community. Key responsibilities include:

???? Your Key Responsibilities:
Social media support (posting curated content, scheduling posts, monitoring engagement)

Supporting the promotion of books, journals, and upcoming publications

Assisting in From the Bottom Podcast planning and content coordination

Coordinating email communications (sending updates, managing inbox)

Outreach to potential podcast guests, partners, and sponsors

Light research (authors, influencers, current events, Black-centered organizations)

Tracking weekly progress, updating task boards, organizing Google Drive files
