JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a highly detail-oriented accountant to perform a basic forensic audit of all checks written by our company. Your primary task will be to input each check transaction into a Google Sheets (like Excel) spreadsheet, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Key Responsibilities:
? Review monthly bank statements and corresponding checks
? Input check details line by line into a spreadsheet, including:
- Check number
- Check date
- Corresponding statement month/year
- Payee (to whom the check was written)
- Amount
? Ensure accuracy and completeness of all data entered
? Identify and flag any missing checks

Qualifications:
?? Meticulous attention to detail – accuracy is crucial!
?? Strong proficiency in Google Sheets / Excel
?? Experience with basic forensic auditing or bookkeeping preferred
?? Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
?? Trustworthy and able to handle financial data with confidentiality
