Social Media Content Creator Needed for E-com Brand

We are calmbox, a monthly subscription box designed to help people find more calm and mindfulness in their busy lives. Each box is filled with 5-7 goodies like relaxing teas, inspiring books, calming candles, natural snacks, and more.

We're looking for a talented and independent Social Media Content Creator to make our Facebook, Instagram, and Threads feeds look beautiful, feel inspiring, and engage our audience!

About the Role:

You will be our creative force for social media, taking full ownership of our content calendar from start to finish.

Your main responsibilities will be:

* Content Calendar Creation: Develop and manage a monthly social media calendar.
* Ideation: Brainstorm and come up with creative, engaging post ideas that align with our brand (product highlights, mindfulness tips, lifestyle content, user-generated content ideas, etc.).
* Content Design: Design visually stunning, compelling, modern, and beautiful graphics and simple video/reel concepts for our posts using your preferred tools (Canva, Figma, Adobe Suite, etc.). We'll provide brand assets, but you'll bring the creative vision.
* Caption Writing: Write clear, engaging captions in English that capture attention and encourage interaction. You should be comfortable using AI tools (like Claude or Gemini) to assist with brainstorming and drafting, but ensuring the final copy is polished and authentic.
* Scheduling: Schedule all posts efficiently using Buffer for Facebook, Instagram, and Threads. You'll queue them up for final approval.
* Independent Workflow: Handle the entire process independently – from initial concept to final scheduled post ready for approval.

Who We're Looking For:

* Visually Talented: You have a strong eye for design and a portfolio showcasing beautiful, modern, and engaging social media content (graphics are key!).
* Proven Social Media Creator: You have experience creating successful social media content for e-commerce brands specifically for platforms like Instagram and Facebook.
* Independent & Proactive: This is crucial! We need someone who can run this process autonomously. You generate ideas, create the content, and manage the schedule without needing constant hand-holding.
* Buffer or similar social media scheduling tool Experience: You must be familiar and comfortable using Buffer or similar tools for scheduling social media posts.
* AI Familiarity: Comfortable using AI tools as an assistant for brainstorming content ideas and drafting copy.
* Excellent English Writer: Ability to write clear, concise, and engaging social media captions.
* Organized & Reliable: Able to manage a content calendar, meet deadlines, and deliver consistently high-quality work. You can batch your work (e.g., create and schedule the whole month's posts in one go if you prefer).
* Good Communicator: Comfortable using Slack for communication and receiving feedback.

Bonus Points (Nice to Have):

* Experience managing social media for subscription boxes.
* Personal interest in wellness, mindfulness, or self-care.
* Basic video editing skills for Reels/short video content.

What We Offer:

* Part-Time Flexible Role: Work from anywhere, at anytime.
* Competitive Rate: $12 USD per hour, paid weekly at first, then bi-weekly later.
* Manageable Workload: Expect around 20 hours per month, creating roughly 3 posts per week (10-15 posts/month). Work can often be batched monthly.
* Alternative Pay Option: We are open to discussing a fixed monthly retainer/salary if you prefer that over hourly, after an initial trial period.
* Creative Freedom: You'll have significant input on the look and feel of our social media presence.
* Direct Collaboration: Work directly with the founder for approvals and feedback.
