Computer CAD Renderer and 3D Modeler

This is a full-time position, but the exact hours per day and days of the week that are worked are flexible as long as due dates are being met.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
You will be responsible for creating photorealistic color renderings of products designed by the company. The company will provide CAD models that have no materials applied to them. You will be required to import those models into an appropriate rendering program, apply materials, colors, lighting, and produce quality images that show the models or products clearly. You will also be asked to create 2D technical drawings of 3D models provided. As your experience grows, you will have the opportunity to do more CAD 3D modeling from sketches and other direction provided.

You will be creating computer models of small organic objects, and then rendering them. We are looking for someone with “Character Animation and 3D Modeling” skills. Also, we are NOT looking for interior architecture renderings. We are looking for someone who can model consumer products, like lamps, shoes, kids toys, kitchen tools and appliances.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Creating color renderings
• Producing drawings from CAD models
• 3D model creation from sketches and direction provided.

MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Light engineering
• Maintain a computer library of materials and scenes for use in creating renderings
• Photoshop image editing.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Experience:
CAD modeling and rendering in software similar to, Rhinoceros, 3D Studio Max, Fusion 360
Other:
Photoshop software skills
Candidates must have their own CAD software license
Candidates must be able to read and write in English
