JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a data-driven Inventory Planner to optimize inventory levels, drive operational efficiency, and enhance overall supply chain performance. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to work with large datasets, and expertise in demand planning or production planning. The ideal candidate will leverage data modeling, forecasting techniques, and inventory optimization strategies to balance availability with cost efficiency, ensuring high customer satisfaction and streamlined operations.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, both at the warehouse and retail locations, and ensure they align with forecasted demand.
• Strive to maintain optimal inventory levels to avoid stockouts and overstocking and reduce carrying costs by monitoring inventory for opportunities to rework or redistribute.
• Deployment of inventory control methods, such as ABC analysis, safety stock calculations, and economic order quantity (EOQ) models.
• Inventory Replenishment: Plan and coordinate the timely replenishment of inventory to meet demand, considering lead times, supplier capabilities, and transportation logistics.
• Demand Forecasting: Utilize historical sales data, market trends, and other relevant factors to execute inventory plan to support sales / forecasts for products.
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to gather information about promotions, product launches, and other activities that may impact demand and incorporate this information into demand forecasts.
• Data Analysis: Analyze inventory data, sales trends, and other relevant metrics to identify patterns and opportunities for improvement. Collect, analyze, and interpret supply chain data from various sources, including sales, inventory, transportation, and procurement, to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
• Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with various teams, including procurement, production, logistics, and distribution, to ensure a seamless flow of goods through the supply chain.
• Inventory Optimization: Continuously improve inventory management processes to optimize stock levels, reduce excess inventory, reduce carrying costs, and improve overall supply chain efficiency.
• Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks related to inventory management, such as supply disruptions or demand fluctuations, and develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks.
• Inventory Reporting: Create and maintain analytical reports on inventory performance, demand forecasting accuracy, and other key performance indicators to support data driven decision-making.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in inventory planning, demand forecasting, production planning, or supply chain analytics.
• Competencies: Skills, Knowledge, Abilities Functional Competencies:
- Proven experience in planning, inventory management, or supply chain analytics.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Knowledge of inventory optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with supply chain management software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, such as LN INFOR ERP, WMS, TMS, and LOGILITY
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey complex concepts and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and adjust inventory plans accordingly.
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Problem-solving skills to identify and address supply chain challenges proactively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of supply chain principles, including inventory control, demand forecasting, transportation, and logistics
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
