Part-Time Video Editor (Gaming Review Channel)

Salary: Negotiable, based on experience and workload. Paid per project or hourly as needed.

About the Role:
I am looking for a skilled and passionate video editor to help create engaging and polished content for a video game review channel. The channel primarily reviews co-op games. The ideal candidate has experience editing game review and gameplay footage, adding effects, and enhancing videos to keep audiences entertained and informed. If you have a deep love for gaming, a keen eye for pacing and storytelling, and the ability to craft visually appealing videos, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:
Edit gameplay footage, commentary, and additional assets into compelling video game review content.
Add transitions, effects, motion graphics, and text overlays to enhance the viewing experience.
Balance audio, adjust color grading, and optimize video quality for YouTube and other platforms.
Cut down raw footage to create concise, engaging, and well-paced videos.
Incorporate music and sound effects to improve engagement.
Stay up to date with current trends in gaming and video editing to keep content fresh and appealing.
Revise and adjust edits based on feedback.
Manage and organize video files efficiently for easy access and future edits.

Qualifications:
Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
Experience editing gameplay footage and commentary and creating engaging YouTube content.
Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and audience engagement techniques.
Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
Passion for video games and knowledge of gaming culture.
Excellent communication skills and responsiveness.
Must have your own computer capable of handling video editing software.
Must use TimeProof to track hours if paid hourly.
