JOB OVERVIEW

Job Summary
As a Sourcing Specialist you will be responsible for sourcing equipment, services and effectively manage the assigned portfolios. An important aspect of this role is maximizing supplier performance and supporting the company’s business plan for used cold milling machine, wide format printers and possibly other products.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
 
Ø Establishes supplier base in conformance with guidance from management
Ø Agents verify purchase requisitions, identify appropriate vendors, prepare and issue purchase orders and ensure on-time deliveries of commodities, equipment and services across all categories
Ø Verify requisitions by clarifying unclear items; recommending alternatives as necessary
Ø Purchase the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible price and in correct amounts
Ø Analyze price proposals, financial reports and other data to determine reasonable prices
Ø Agent evaluates vendors for the purpose of determining their capability for performing to established specifications and expectations
Ø Advise on most efficient means of procuring items and applicable procedures. Counsel requestors regarding product availability and economic purchase factors
Ø Review incoming procurement requests for adherence to company policies and government regulations.
Ø Determine most effective method of procurement
Ø Coordinate the work flow and prioritize procurement requests received from the request originators
Ø Track procurement for supplier compliance with negotiated terms and delivery dates. Coordinate returns and service problems with suppliers
Ø Establish new suppliers by interviewing prospective suppliers, monitoring their performance and providing improvement recommendations
Ø Monitor overall procurement procedures for possible improvements. Coordinate with management to implement purchasing improvements including standardized forms, file organization and documentation requirements
Ø Comply with governmental law, company and division procurement policies
Ø Maintain purchasing information, electronic files and records for the purpose of ensuring availability of documentation and compliance with established policies and regulatory guidelines and in case of audit
Ø Prepare a variety of written materials (e.g. orders, memos, specifications, quotations, schedules, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference and/or conveying information related to purchasing activities. Prepare solicitation documents such as Request for Quote, Request for Information and Request for Proposal
Ø Prepare documentation such as price analysis, vendor selection, lease versus buy analysis, operating versus capital lease analysis, sole/single justifications, market surveys, best value and technical evaluations
Ø Research widely for supplies and material, vendors, laws, regulations, etc. for the purpose of recommending purchases, contracts and maintaining services
Ø Agent must have thorough working knowledge of purchasing policies, processes, guidelines and (preferably) Extensive knowledge and ability to negotiate best vendor terms, pricing and delivery based on specifications and scheduling requirements
Ø Agent must communicate clearly and effectively to others, understand processes and rationale behind them. Agent must identify multiple projects and prioritize them in order to meet required deadlines. Agents must be flexible and capable of creatively resolving issues
Ø Agent must be proficient in Excel and capable of performing reporting functions and critical analysis of results to drive business goals and efficiencies
Ø Develop solicitation documents for complex procurement contracts
Ø Perform analysis of proposals and monitor vendor qualifications
Ø Analyze and process purchase requisitions assigned by the Manager
Ø Interview sales people and perform vendor visits
Ø Negotiates with suppliers to meet quality and cost objectives
Ø Establishes and maintains rapport with all levels of suppliers
Ø Identifies opportunities and implements actions to achieve efficiencies
 
Education and Qualifications
· Minimum bachelor’s degree in fields of supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, or related field
· Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
· Familiarity logistics
· Excellent written and oral communications, inter-personal skills and an ability to handle multiple projects in English
· Candidates should have strong analytical skills
