Ongoing work, starting with 1 video per week – potential for full-time work
About the Role:
I'm looking for a video editor working with DESCRIPT to help with the FIANL POLISH on my YouTube videos. Most of the heavy lifting (AI-based processing, clip arrangement, and sound optimization - Underlord AI features) is already done. Your job will be finishing touches—correcting the script, making the captions engaging, adding transitions, sound effects, placing background music, and editing Talking Heads footage to hide cuts.
We'll start with one 15-minute long-form video per week, but if things go well, there is an opportunity to increase content production and eventually transition into a full-time role with me. I’m looking for someone who can work with me on a continuous basis as my channel and content grow.
Your Responsibilities:
+ Correct transcription errors in the Descript script
+ Style and format captions (especially for intros)
+ Add transitions where needed
+ Include sound effects to enhance engagement
+ Select and place background music
+ Edit Talking Heads footage (zooming in and out to hide cuts)
+ Choose and integrate b-roll (initially provided by me; over time, you will pick b-roll yourself from my library)
+ Ensure videos have a professional, polished feel
What I Provide:
+ Rough-cut edited video in Descript with clips already put in place
+ B-roll footage provided by me (in a later stage, you will pick b-roll yourself from my library)
+ Clear instructions and feedback for improvements (step-by-step document is available)
***Test Project ***
To determine who will work with me, we will do a test project. I will give you access to a test project on Descript, which you can access through the cloud. You will edit the first 60 seconds of the video, and based on the final result, I will d
*** Starting rate: $30 per video. You should need no more than 8 hours (1 day) to complete 1 video. This can be adjusted after the test project once we have a better sense of the workflow and expectations.
When you apply: be short and concise. Tell me about your experience with DESCRIPT, or if you don't have any, tell me what steps you've taken to learn how to work with Descript.
Thanks.
