About the Role
We are seeking an experienced tax accountant with a strong background in Australian taxation and proficiency in Xero & BGLSF360. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in Australian tax and accounting and will be responsible for preparing financial statements and tax returns for various entity types, including companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals and SMSFs.
Ensure compliance with Australian tax laws, including income tax, GST, and BAS reporting.
Reconcile accounts and manage general ledger entries.
Work with Xero to process transactions, maintain records, and generate reports.
Assist in tax planning strategies and provide general tax advice as required.
Communicate with the team to ensure deadlines and client expectations are met.
Key Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience in Australian tax and accounting.
Proficiency in Xero & BGLS360 and cloud-based accounting software.
Strong knowledge of Australian taxation, including company tax, trust distributions, BAS, IAS, and GST.
