LED Trucking Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Accounts Receivable Manager with management specialty in the Transportation Industry to provide financial, administrative, and clerical services. ARM responsibilities include ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing, and monitoring incoming payments; and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts. LED Trucking Inc.is managed by Sacramento Managing Company. This position reports to the Head of Finance.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee accounts receivable (AR) team, with the goal of expedient billing and collections without any underpayments or non-payments
Serve as an escalation point for complex Accounts Receivable (AR) matters for all departments when needed and applicable
Manage all AR corrections and apply proper deductions and/or payment, working closely with Accounts Payable department
Manage invoicing, review, enter adjustments, and produce reports when needed
Frequent review of the AR aging report, identifying invoices that require follow-up calls, and directing and guiding AR team with collection efforts
Manage all underpayments and non-payments, problem-solve and find solutions
Manage factoring and non-factoring clients, ensure all invoices are paid in under 30 days
Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures
Maintain historical records for all accounts receivable transactions
Measurable develop recommendations for continual process improvements and ensures that procedures are documented
Report internal & external financial business reviews
Establish goals and objectives for sales with the Head of Finance for Accounts Receivable
Meet goals and objectives for Accounts Receivable
Monitor KPIs for customer satisfaction with both drivers and brokers
All other duties, as assigned
Talent Requirements:
Minimum of two (2) years of successful Accounting experience required, preferable in Accounts Receivable or Collections
Minimum of three (2) years of Trucking Industry Management experience is required
High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred
Thorough knowledge of general accounting principles and practices
Strong general business acumen, Must maintain a professional business environment
Effective negotiation and collection skills
Effective follow-up skills, communicate with and deal with vendors, customers, and all levels of employees in an efficient and professional manner
Able to demonstrate professional phone etiquette
Demonstrate a high customer service commitment
Must possess strong interpersonal skills (i.e., cooperative, courteous, flexible, good natured)
Strong analytical skills – ability to assess, design, and sell a given solution
Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think and respond accounting issues
Effective planning and organizational skills to schedule appointments appropriately and meet reporting deadlines
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain composure under pressure in a fast paced environment
Ability to type with speed and accuracy for extended periods of time
Ability to operate and navigate a computer and to work with software applications at an advanced level
Ability to generate special computerized reports and schedules with minimum direction
Must be willing and able to accept constructive feedback, and exhibit initiative and commitment to the job
Must demonstrate ability to appear for work on time consistently and adhere to company attendance policies
Must possess ability to understand and follow company rules and procedures and comply with corporate policies, goals, and objectives
