JOB OVERVIEW

We’re a group of five crime fiction authors looking for a talented social media and marketing professional to help us grow our audience and promote our books under a shared brand.

Who We Are
We write gripping, bestselling crime fiction and have come together to market our books under a single brand name (either Murders They Wrote or Masters of Crime—we’re still d ---------- !). Our goal is to create an engaged community of crime fiction readers, promote our latest releases, and keep our audience entertained with fun and interactive content.

What You’ll Do
We need someone to take full ownership of our brand’s online presence, including:

Managing Social Media – Running our Facebook page (and potentially TikTok, Instagram, or Twitter), creating engaging posts, responding to comments, and growing our following.

Content Creation – Posting about our book launches, pre-orders, sales, and promotions, as well as fun crime-related content like quizzes, interesting facts, and discussions to keep readers engaged.

Newsletter Management – Writing and scheduling email newsletters to keep our subscribers updated on new books, special offers, and other exciting news.

Audience Engagement – Interacting with followers, answering messages, and keeping the community lively.

Marketing Strategy – Helping us organize and stagger book releases for maximum impact, and setting up a group landing page for our books, mailing list, and social links.

What We’re Looking For
A marketing graduate or experienced social media manager with a strong grasp of content marketing.

Excellent English writing skills – you’ll be writing engaging social media posts and newsletters for an English-speaking audience.

Experience in book marketing or a love of crime fiction is a big plus!

Creativity and initiative – we want someone who can suggest fun, engaging content ideas, not just follow instructions.

Basic design skills (Canva, Photoshop, or similar) for creating eye-catching visuals.

Video editing skills (if we d ---------- to go all-in on TikTok or Instagram Reels).

Reliable and organized – you’ll need to keep track of multiple authors’ promotions and work from a shared calendar.

How We’ll Work Together
We’ll provide you with a shared calendar where we’ll add book launches, promotions, and anything we want you to post about.
You’ll have a lot of freedom to create engaging content beyond just promotions—fun crime-related quizzes, discussions, and anything else to build an active following.

We’ll support you with bios, photos, and book details, but you’ll drive the marketing and be responsible for keeping the audience engaged.

Why Join Us?
Flexible remote work – manage your own time and schedule.

Work with successful crime fiction authors and gain hands-on experience in book marketing.

Freedom to be creative – we want you to take the lead in building our online presence.

Long-term opportunity – if this works well, we want a reliable person to manage our marketing for years to come.

Interested? Apply now and tell us why you’d be a great fit! Bonus points if you already have ideas on how to grow a crime fiction community online.
