Cookbook layout and design

I'm launching a fun, light-hearted cookbook for dads that makes cooking easy, enjoyable, and packed with dad-joke-level humour. The manuscript is written, and high-quality images are ready—I need a talented graphic designer to transform it into a professional, print-ready file.

**What You’ll Be Doing:**
- Trial Task: First, you’ll format a 6-page sample to ensure we’re aligned on style and quality.
- Formatting the full cookbook layout using Adobe InDesign (preferred) or Canva Pro.
- Ensuring clean, easy-to-read typography and visual hierarchy for step-by-step cooking instructions.
- Placing images strategically (each recipe has a corresponding photo).
- Making sure the final file is print-ready, following industry standards (margins, bleed, CMYK, high-res images).
- Checking for layout consistency, formatting issues, and minor proofreading errors.

**Required Skills & Experience:**
? Graphic Design & Book Layout – Experience formatting books (cookbooks a plus).
? Print-Ready Publishing – Knowledge of PDF/X-1a, CMYK colours, and print margins.
? Attention to Detail – Spotting inconsistencies and ensuring professional quality.
? Bonus: Familiarity with Amazon KDP, Blurb, or other self-publishing platforms.

**Trial Task:**
As part of the selection process, shortlisted applicants will be asked to format a 6-page sample to showcase their skills. This will help determine style alignment before proceeding with the full project.
