Job Title: Port Dispatcher
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Freight Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:
• Managing import/export bookings
• Track ETA/Cut Off with terminal
• Dispatching freight to drivers and overseeing the entire transportation process, from pickup to delivery and EQ return
• Addressing and resolving any issues that arise during freight transportation
• Ensuring exceptional service quality is maintained for all customers
• Communicating effectively with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations
Job Requirements:
• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Freight Dispatcher (dray dispatch is a plus)
• Strong communication and coordination skills to effectively support daily shipping requirements
• Solid problem-solving abilities and financial decision-making skills
• Proficiency in basic computer operations to carry out daily tasks
• Quick and sound judgment under pressure
Additional Skills:
• Experience with Import/Export and Intermodal loads
• Familiarity with various dray types of truck equipment
• Proficient in load planning
