JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a preschool education expert who is passionate about creating high-quality assessments for early learners. This role involves analyzing existing competitor products, identifying strengths and gaps, and designing an improved, research-based version that enhances usability and effectiveness for teachers.

We are not looking to copy—we want to take inspiration and innovate, ensuring the assessments are better organized, developmentally appropriate, and easier to use.

The ideal candidate should have experience designing preschool assessments and love refining systems for data tracking. They must also be comfortable with automation tools to streamline the process, including Adobe Acrobat Pro to auto-populate student names on PDFs using a master key list.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and analyze competitor assessment samples to identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop a better, research-backed version that includes all essential components while enhancing clarity, usability, and teacher-friendliness.
Ensure assessments are engaging, developmentally appropriate, and aligned with best practices in early childhood education.
Create a system for easy student data tracking, including individual student pages, whole-class data sheets, and progress reports.
Use Adobe Acrobat Pro to automate student name entry via a master key list.
Create a Canva > PDF and a PowerPoint version.
Organize materials in Canva for easy customization and presentation.
Check-in at the one-week mark for progress updates, with a final 1-2 week turnaround time.

Preferred Qualifications:

Background in preschool education, early childhood assessments, or child development.
Experience in creating and implementing assessments for young children.
Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Pro for PDF automation (auto-populating student names).
Comfortable working in Canva for organization and layout.
Strong analytical skills to improve upon existing assessment tools rather than replicate them.
High attention to detail and ability to make assessments more teacher-friendly and intuitive.

Compensation & Project Details:

Open to pricing based on experience (please provide your rate).
Turnaround time: 2 weeks, with a required midway check-in to show progress.
This is a project-based role, but there may be opportunities for future work.
