JOB OVERVIEW

Email List Marketing Manager
(Part-Time, Remote)

We are looking for a skilled email marketer to manage email marketing campaigns for small businesses. Our clients include home service businesses and medical offices, such as dentists, med spas, HVAC companies, plumbers, and landscapers. You will set up and manage email campaigns for each client, which sends 1-4 emails a month with various types of emails, such as new promotions, referral offers, seasonal updates, etc.

You will be responsible for most of the backend work and fulfillment, while your manager focuses on signing new clients, growing the business, and ensuring client success.

This is a part-time position starting at least 10 hours per week. It has the potential to grow into a full-time role, but full-time availability is not required.

Main Responsibilities
•Be able to take a client's email list and set up a complete email marketing campaign that sends 1-4 emails each month

•Create various templates for each industry we target, including newsletters, promotions, referral deals, seasonal & holiday updates, etc.

•Customize the email templates based on the client’s branding, promotions, and business updates. This includes adjusting logos, colors, and messaging to fit their needs.

•Proactively create and schedule email campaigns ahead of deadlines, getting approval from your manager and the client before sending

Do not apply if you cannot do all the above on your own without guidance!

Required Skills and Experience
•Experience setting up email marketing campaigns using platforms like Mailchimp, Mailerlite, or similar tools.

•Ability to design email templates and customize them based on client needs

•Strong copywriting skills for writing and editing email content

•Understanding of email list management, including segmentation and handling unsubscribes

•Basic knowledge of email marketing compliance, including CAN-SPAM and GDPR

•Ability to analyze email campaign performance and suggest improvements

Key Traits
•Independence & Leadership: You will be working alone regularly, and you are being hired to be an expert. You must be able to take ownership of your work and complete things at a high standard, on your own.

•Trustworthiness: This role will give you a lot of responsibility and autonomy. We will only hire someone who displays a great sense of trust & professionalism.

•Communication: We like people who overcommunicate, those who make lots of notes and send lots of updates. You will be communicating with your manager often (by Slack and video calls), and also with clients (by email)

Pay & Schedule
•Minimum $8.00 USD /hour (can be higher if your experience is extraordinary)

•10 hours a week minimum, potentially more

•You will have flexibility in setting your own schedule. Work can be done during mornings, evenings, weekends, or whenever is best for you

•You are required to be available for meetings with your manager sometime during North American business hours
