JOB OVERVIEW

Consultare Inc. Group (CIG) is seeking a highly skilled Web Application Developer with expertise in JavaScript (JS) or PHP to develop an editable document feature within our web application. The primary focus of this role is to enable editing of DOCX, Excel, and PDF files within the system, ensuring seamless integration, storage, and real-time collaboration. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and integrate an editable document system that supports DOCX, Excel (XLSX), and PDF formats.
-Implement real-time editing features, allowing users to modify and save changes directly within the web application.
-Utilize libraries or frameworks such as Mammoth.js, docx4j, LibreOffice API, SheetJS (xlsx), or PDF.js to enable document editing.
-Ensure compatibility with file conversion APIs, allowing seamless export/import between formats (e.g., DOCX to PDF, Excel to CSV).
-Manage document storage and retrieval, integrating with a MySQL database.
-Optimize the document editor for performance, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
-Conduct testing, debugging, and performance optimization to ensure a seamless user experience.

Requirements:
- Proficiency in JavaScript (JS) or PHP for frontend and backend development.
- Experience working with rich text editors such as TinyMCE, CKEditor, Quill.js, or ProseMirror.
- Strong knowledge of file processing and manipulation libraries for DOCX, Excel, and PDF editing (e.g., Mammoth.js, SheetJS, PDF.js, PHPWord, PHPExcel, TCPDF, FPDF).
-Familiarity with backend frameworks like Laravel (PHP) for document management.
- Understanding of real-time technologies (WebSockets, Firebase Realtime Database, SignalR) for collaborative editing.
- Experience working with database systems such as MySQL.
- Knowledge of security best practices for document management, including role-based access control.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with collaborative document editing, similar to Google Docs, Microsoft Office Online, or Notion.
- Experience with file conversion APIs (e.g., LibreOffice, CloudConvert, Pandoc) for format interoperability.
