JOB OVERVIEW

Location: Remote (Philippines)
Job Type: Commission-Based (Temporary)
Start Date: ASAP

About Us:

We are a surf school academy located in Huntington Beach, California, offering surf lessons for individuals and families, including those involved in homeschooling. Our goal is to introduce homeschooling families to the benefits of surfing, while also taking advantage of opportunities available to them, such as funding from charter schools. We are looking for a proactive Virtual Assistant (VA) based in the Philippines to help with outreach, research, and marketing efforts.

Job Overview:

As a Virtual Assistant for our Homeschool Outreach and Surf School Marketing, you’ll be responsible for outreach to homeschool families and charter schools to raise awareness of our surf programs, specifically how charter school funding can help families access our services. This is a commission-based position where you’ll earn based on the leads and enrollments you generate.

Key Responsibilities:

Research Homeschool Communities: Identify and compile a list of relevant homeschool groups and associations in California, especially those that allow the use of charter school funding for extracurricular activities.
Outreach & Networking: Contact homeschool groups, co-ops, and families to introduce our surf school programs and explain how charter school funding can be used for surf lessons.
Explain Charter School Funding: Educate homeschooling families on how charter schools provide funding for extracurricular activities like surf lessons. Guide them through the process of using their education stipends for surf school lessons.
Social Media Marketing: Engage with homeschool communities on social media, sharing information about surf lessons and how they can be covered by charter school funding.
Collaborate on Marketing Campaigns: Work with the marketing team to ensure our messaging is clear about using charter school funding and reaching the right target audience.
Track Leads: Keep records of all leads, responses, and follow-ups in a tracking system.
Customer Support: Provide assistance to families who have questions about using charter school funds for surf lessons and help them navigate the process.
Reporting: Regularly update the team on outreach progress and feedback from homeschool communities.
Qualifications:

English Proficiency: Fluent in written and spoken English with excellent communication skills.
Research Skills: Ability to research and identify relevant homeschool groups and charter schools in the U.S.
Surf Knowledge (or Willingness to Learn): Understanding of surf culture is a plus, but training will be provided.
Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Detail-Oriented: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using Google Sheets, email platforms, and social media for outreach.
Compensation:

Commission-Based: You’ll earn a commission for each lead or sale generated. The exact commission structure will be discussed during the interview.
Temporary Role: This is a temporary, project-based position with the possibility of extension depending on performance.
Working Hours / Time Zone Expectations:

This is a remote position. You will need to be available for some overlap with U.S. time zones, primarily Pacific Time (PT). Ideally, you'll be available from 8:00 PM – 1:00 AM Philippine Time (PHT) for at least 2-4 hours daily.
How to Apply:

Please send your resume and a cover letter explaining why you’re a good fit for this position to [Your Email Address]. Please include any experience or skills relevant to this role.

Why This is Important:
A key aspect of this role is educating homeschool families about the possibility of using charter school funding for surf lessons. Many families may not know they can use their education stipends for extracurricular activities, and it will be your job to help them navigate this process.

Charter schools provide funding that homeschooling families can use to pay for surf lessons, and we need your help to spread the word and educate families on how to access these funds.
Outreach to Charter Schools: Part of your role will also involve working with charter schools to ensure we are listed as an approved vendor, making it easier for families to use their charter funds with us.
