Role Overview:
The Social Media Content Manager & Creative Coordinator will serve as the bridge between our clients and the creative team. Your main responsibility is to ensure that all content is produced on time, aligns with the client's brand voice, is reviewed/approved, and gets scheduled for publishing.
You'll manage project timelines, handle client communications regarding content reviews, write captions and copy, collaborate with video editors and graphic designers, and ensure seamless content scheduling across social media platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Management:
- Learn the Client's Brand Voice – Understand the unique voice, tone, and content style of each client.
- Client Portal Setup & Management – Organize and maintain client review & approval portals (Notion or similar) including document structures, client notes, and content tracking.
- Manage Client Notes & Preferences – Keep an updated log of client-specific preferences, content styles, and feedback.
Content Management & Coordination:
- Manage Content Deliverables – Oversee content production timelines for long-form and short-form videos, podcasts, YouTube content, social posts, thumbnails, and captions, using client-provided raw content, or agency-generated content from scratch.
- Write Captions, Titles, and Descriptions – Serve as the primary copywriter, crafting engaging captions optimized for Instagram, YouTube,
- Work with the Creative Team – Collaborate with video editors and graphic designers to ensure all assets are produced on time and meet client expectations. (BONUS if you have experience in video editing and graphic design!)
- Ensure Timely Production & Delivery – Keep all projects on track, ensuring all content (videos, graphics, captions, thumbnails, titles, descriptions) is completed before deadlines.
- Upload Content into Client Portals – Upload all finalized content into client review & approval portals for feedback.
- Implement Revisions – Apply client feedback and coordinate necessary edits/revisions with the creative team.
- Schedule Approved Content – Using scheduling tools (e.g., Later, Buffer, Metricool, or Hootsuite), schedule content for publishing across social media platforms.
Project Management & Reporting:
- Track Production Timelines – Ensure smooth workflow from content creation to publishing.
- Manage Deadlines – Make sure no deadlines are missed and content is posted consistently.
- Report to CEO – Provide regular updates on project status, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Performance Tracking (Optional) – Assist in basic analytics (engagement, reach, views) to help optimize future content.
Quality Control:
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all content aligns with the client’s brand voice, tone, and messaging.
- Content Accuracy: Conduct thorough quality checks on all deliverables to ensure proper spelling, grammar, and formatting.
- Content Alignment: Verify that all content meets the client’s strategic goals and complies with platform-specific guidelines.
- Error-Free Publishing: Double-check all scheduled posts for accuracy, including hashtags, tags, URLs, and CTAs before they go live.
Tools You’ll Use:
- Notion – Content tracking, client notes, project management
- Canva – For light graphic edits (if needed)
- Social Media Scheduling Tools – Metricool, Later, Buffer, Hootsuite
- Google Workspace – Docs, Sheets, Drive
- Asana (optional) – For additional project management
- Slack – Internal communication with the team
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong Copywriting Skills – Experience writing engaging social media captions, YouTube titles, and descriptions.
- Project Management Skills – Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Experience with Social Media Platforms – Instagram, YouTube,
- Familiarity with Scheduling Tools – (Metricool, Later, Buffer, or Hootsuite)
- Attention to Detail – Exceptional proofreading skills to ensure content is error-free and aligns with the brand voice.
- Strong Communication Skills – Fluent in English (written & spoken) and comfortable liaising with both clients and creative teams.
- Self-Starter & Problem Solver – Able to work independently and handle unexpected challenges.
Positive & Adaptable Attitude – Thrives in fast-paced environments and adapts quickly to change.
Bonus Skills (Not Required but a Plus):
- Experience in the health/wellness or coaching niche
- Basic SEO knowledge for YouTube & blog posts
- Experience with video editing and graphic design
- Experience using Trello, Asana, or ClickUp for project management
