Clinical Quality Assurance Officer
Job Summary:
Ensures that clinical processes and documentation are conducted in accordance with guidelines, protocols, and regulations. Develops, performs, and manages quality assurance activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assures quality documentation by enforcing quality standards and guidelines.
Performs auditing activities to clinical documentation to minimize errors, missing information, and to ensure that practices conducted by disciplines are in accordance with the guidelines, protocols, and agency regulations.
Maintains quality documentation system by updating quality assurance procedures.
Collaborates with the disciplines and other members of the team to maintain quality documentation procedures.
Maintains technical knowledge by adhering to training and educational meetings.
Compiles clinical documentation errors detected and formulate a plan to address the errors.
Keeps up to date with guidance documents, agency protocols, international standards, or regulations for good clinical documentation and processes.
Communicates any critical compliance risks noted to senior management and related personnel.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Registered Nurse
Experience with Clinical QA (preferred but not required)
Experience with MS Word, Excel, and EMR software
