The Role
We're seeking an exceptional Content Writer & Editor to lead our daily newsletter, translating complex psychological concepts into engaging, accessible content that empowers our readers to better understand and support their mental health.

Key Responsibilities
* Create compelling daily newsletter content that bridges academic psychology with practical, everyday application
* Transform peer-reviewed research and clinical insights into engaging, accessible stories
* Develop editorial calendars that thoughtfully address various mental health topics, seasonal patterns, and current events
* Write clear, empathetic headlines and content that respects the sensitivity of mental health topics
* Interview mental health professionals, researchers, and thought leaders for expert insights
* Fact-check and verify all mental health claims and statistics
* Manage content planning to balance trending topics with evergreen mental health education
* Collaborate with licensed mental health professionals to ensure content accuracy
* Monitor mental health news, research, and developments in psychology
* Track newsletter metrics and reader engagement to optimize content strategy

Required Qualifications
* 2+ years of experience in health, science, or psychology-focused content writing and editing
* Bachelor's degree in psychology, Journalism, Communications, or related field
* Demonstrated understanding of mental health topics and psychological principles
* Strong background in research interpretation and scientific writing
* Exceptional ability to translate complex concepts into clear, engaging content
* Experience handling sensitive topics with appropriate care and nuance
* Proven track record of meeting daily content deadlines
* Familiarity with mental health terminology and ethical reporting guidelines
* Experience with email marketing platforms and analytics tools

Ideal Candidate
* Master's degree in psychology, Counseling, or related field
* Experience working in mental health settings or with mental health professionals
* Understanding of APA style and psychological research methods
* Strong awareness of cultural competency in mental health
* Ability to maintain emotional boundaries while engaging with sensitive content
* Excellence in fact-checking and source verification
* Commitment to reducing mental health stigma through responsible content
