We are a fast-growing property management business based in Australia seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with a strong background in Trust Accounting to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Trust Accounting: Maintain and reconcile trust accounts, ensuring compliance with Australian regulations and industry standards.
General Bookkeeping: Record financial transactions, manage accounts payable/receivable, and prepare monthly financial statements.
Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts and identify discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Reporting: Prepare detailed reports for management and clients, summarizing financial performance and trust account status.
Compliance: Ensure all trust account transactions are compliant with relevant legislation and accounting principles.
Software Management: Utilize Xero for accurate bookkeeping.
Leadership: Oversee and guide tea
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, with at least 2-3 years of experience in Trust Accounting.
Strong understanding of Australian trust accounting regulations and industry best practices.
Proficiency with Xero (cloud-based accounting software).
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
Experience with Resly as a property management software is a valuable asset, but a positive attitude towards learning and adaptability are essential for success in this role.
Experience leading or mentoring a team is a plus.
Work Schedule:
This role requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, 6AM -3PM PHT. There will also be opportunities for overtime if you wish to take on additional hours.
