HOSPICE QA SPECIALIST (OFFICE-BASED)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reviews and audits cover-to-cover Hospice Medical documents in relation to Hospice Medicare Guidelines.

• Participates in gathering, trending, and reporting data related to the oversight, planning and coordination of Quality management activities, including patient care reviews, compliance audits, concurrent and retrospective clinical record reviews for the interdisciplinary team.

• Trends and analyzes utilization, outcome, and quality data.



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Registered Nurse (preferred but not required)

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Hospice QA Specialist (preferred but not required)

• Background in quality assurance role within a hospice agency preferred

• Extensive knowledge of CMS hospice regulations

• Advanced computer skills with experience with one or more Electronic Medical Record solutions.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

• Strong quantitative and analytic skills.

• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with an aggressive approach to excellence.

• Ability to work independently and as a member of the team.

• Ability to effectively communicate, negotiate, and lead.
