We’re a luxury real estate photography and videography business and we’re looking for a video editor.
We’ve just started our business last year and so our client base has started to pick up and we’re looking to outsource our video editing. For now, we’d like to pay you per project but gradually with the work piling up (in the next 3-6 months), we’re hoping to convert this into a part time and eventually to a full time role. However, we’re also good with you having other jobs — for so long as you get the orders submitted with high quality and on time.
I won't take too much of your time but I'll cut straight to the point.
Right now, we’re looking for a very specific style in real estate long-form content, similar to this example:
We love a punchy, sharp, contrasty look where colors are balanced yet vibrant. The transitions should feel smooth and match the flow of the video. Additionally, sound design plays a key role in selling the overall vibe. We also need day-to-night transitions, similar to this:
Our Requirements:
-We shoot all footage in S-Log3
-Turnaround time is 48 hours
-Files are large and shared via Google Drive
-4K and 1080p versions of the 1-2 minute property video
-because we don't do videos for all clients, our orders for you will come per project
Given these requirements, I’d like to ask:
1. Do you have work that matches the style of the samples? If not, are you confident you can replicate this look?
2. Can your setup (PC/laptop) handle large raw S-Log3 files?
3. Can you meet our 48-hour turnaround time consistently?
4. How do you handle revision requests? What’s your usual revision turnaround?
5. What’s your approach to music licensing? Do you use copyright-free music, or do you have a subscription that allows extended use for clients?
6. Do you work with motion graphics or text overlays if needed?
7. What’s your rate structure, and do you offer packages (i.e. 1-2 minute property video + 2 reels) for ongoing work?
Please submit a similar portfolio to the work that you’ve done. Would love to be working with you!
