JOB OVERVIEW

This is a part-time position. Currently, we have about 10 hours of work a week available. This will likely increase in the future.

We strongly discourage you from applying... here's why.

We've worked with VAs for content writing in the past, and so far the level of content has not been good enough.

We're Content Climber, an SEO content creation agency that focuses on driving revenue (not traffic) for E-commerce stores.

If you dare to apply you'd better be 100% certain that you can write SEO-optimized articles that meet our expectations.

What are our expectations?

1 - Your English is as good as an English speaker.

2 - Your writing doesn't sound like chat GPT and it doesn't put people to sleep. You can't be afraid to write from the first person and bring in personal experiences. Your writing should sound like a natural conversation with the reader and not an extremely boring scientific report.

3 - You know how to think something through logically and in sequence. A lot of our articles are how-to's. You must be able to put yourself in your reader's shoes. Imagine you are the reader, and you are trying to accomplish just what they might be when reading your article.

Now scour the web as if you were trying to learn how to do what your article will explain. Write down the steps you'd take to do what your reader is trying to do. Now write your article as fully understanding what your reader is trying to do.

4 - You need to be a fast learner, and you need to be able to follow instructions. You don't have to know SEO. We know how to do it and teach you, but do you know how to learn?

You need to be excellent at following instructions. Telling someone something twice is a no-go, and having to remind them every month is... we won't even say.

5 - You have to be fast. If you can't write an article up to the level of what we just articulated in less than 4 hours, look for a different job.

6 - You're honest. Quite frankly we're sick of VA's "a ---------- " submitting more hours than they actually worked. Don't be an idiot and ruin a job that could pay you for the rest of your life, by trying to get $100 extra bucks in the month. If you're the kind of person who chases short-term gains, you're the exact person we don't want to apply.

7 - You have to be ambitious. We're looking for someone who actually wants to grow their own skillset, salary, and value to the company. Someone who spends the time learning absolutely everything they can about the niche they work in. If you become more valuable to the company you can be sure we will reimburse you with that value. aka $$$. I mean have you ever considered following some pros on LinkedIn?!? Come on.

8 - We're just repeating this one for good measure, we only want people who can write stuff that makes sense, nobody else.

Those are our expectations. It's most likely you aren't up to them. Don't take it personally but we are looking for the best writers.

We don't actually care how good you are at SEO. We don't care about keywords, and Google barely does either.

We want someone who can write logical articles that actually answer questions and help the reader, articles that tell them exactly how to do something and don't just add to the confusion.

Write like a human with some personality, and not like a dorky robot.

Okay, so you actually think you could do this?

Here's how it would work.

1 - message us with these exact words. "Please send Google Form"

The Google form is how we gather initial information and review your application. We don't accept applications any other way.

P.S. - if you don't use those exact words you're already out as you clearly can't follow simple, clear instructions.

2 - If we like your stuff in the Google form we'll book a meeting with you to learn some more about you. If you're late for the meeting you're out.

3 - If we think you might just have what it takes, we'll have you write 2 articles for us as a trial. You will be paid $30 for this so you don't have to worry, we're not messing around with your time, or ours.

4 - If those 2 articles do meet our expectations, we'll get you onto our month-long trial. This is basically just like working for us but it's only for a month and you will only be paid $5 an hour. If you don't meet expectations your trial is over, if you do we'll hire you.

5 - Once we've hired you your pay will go up to $5.50 an hour. We strongly encourage you to gain skills and learn new things in an effort to earn more. If you can prove you are now more valuable to the company, then we're happy to increase your hourly wage.

Honestly, I'm not sure how you read all of that. Maybe because it didn't sound like all the other boring and soppy job postings. Think about that as a content writer.

If you're ready to perform at the top level, please begin the application process.

If not, have a good day.
