JOB OVERVIEW

We’re seeking a skilled Email Marketing Specialist who understands the technical and strategic aspects of email marketing to create and execute campaigns that drive engagement, conversions, and revenue.

Job Description:
As an Email Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for end-to-end email marketing strategy and execution, including proper email setup, deliverability optimization, campaign management, and performance analysis. Your role will be critical in ensuring emails land in inboxes and drive measurable results.

Key Responsibilities:


Email
Setup and Infrastructure:

Set up email domains and addresses for marketing purposes, ensuring proper authentication with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records.
Collaborate with IT or hosting providers to implement secure email systems and prevent deliverability issues.

Email
Warming:

Develop and execute email warm-up strategies for new domains and addresses to establish trust and reputation.
Gradually increase sending volumes while monitoring engagement metrics like open rates and bounce rates.
Campaign Management:

Design and implement email campaigns that align with business goals, including promotional emails, newsletters, and automated sequences.
Segment audiences based on behavior, demographics, and preferences to personalize messaging.
Deliverability Optimization:

Monitor sender reputation and email deliverability metrics.
Identify and resolve issues related to spam complaints, blacklisting, or poor engagement.
Content and Compliance:

Craft engaging and relevant email content that adheres to spam compliance regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc.).
Optimize subject lines, CTAs, and design for high engagement.
Testing and Reporting:

Use tools like MailGenius, GlockApps, or Postmark to test deliverability and identify potential issues.
Analyze campaign performance and provide actionable insights to improve future campaigns.
Key Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience in email marketing, including setting up email infrastructure and managing campaigns.
Strong knowledge of SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and email authentication practices.
Experience with email marketing platforms like Mailchimp, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, or similar.
Familiarity with tools for testing email deliverability and monitoring sender reputation.
Understanding of email warm-up strategies and best practices.
Excellent copywriting and editing skills with attention to detail.
Analytical mindset and ability to interpret performance data to drive decision-making.
Knowledge of email marketing compliance standards, including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and similar regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with HTML/CSS for email design.
Knowledge of audience segmentation and personalization techniques.
Familiarity with A/B testing and campaign optimization strategies.
