We are looking for a part-time accountant who is Australian-trained and experienced in bookkeeping and taxation to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform bookkeeping tasks using Xero and QuickBooks Online (QBO).
- Prepare tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and companies.
- Handle SMSF (Self-Managed Superannuation Fund) returns and related administration tasks.
- Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, and other compliance reports.
- Conduct reconciliations, payroll processing, and accounts payable/receivable tasks.
- Provide accurate and timely financial reports for clients.
- Stay up-to-date with Australian tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with the team to support clients’ accounting and tax needs.
- Assist with other ad-hoc accounting and administrative duties as required.

Requirements:
- Must be Australian-trained or have significant experience with Australian accounting standards and tax laws.
- Proficient in Xero and QuickBooks Online (certifications are a plus).
- Experience in preparing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and companies.
- Skilled in SMSF returns and administration.
- Strong understanding of Australian GST, BAS, IAS, and payroll requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and time management.
- Ability to work independently and remotely with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent is an advantage).
