Role Overview
As an SEO Specialist, you will be responsible for improving our clients’ online visibility across various digital touchpoints. You will implement on-page and off-page SEO tactics, manage local SEO initiatives for brick-and-mortar and service-area businesses, and continually optimize campaigns based on performance data. The ideal candidate is well-versed in keyword research, competitor analysis, content optimization, link-building strategies, and local citations, with a solid track record of delivering measurable organic growth.
Key Responsibilities
On-Page SEO
- Conduct keyword research and develop site-wide and page-level keyword strategies.
- Optimize website content, meta tags, headings, and URLs for maximum visibility and engagement.
- Identify and fix technical SEO issues (e.g., site speed, indexing, crawl errors).
Local SEO
- Manage and optimize Google Business Profiles (GBP) and other local listings for multiple clients.
- Ensure NAP (Name, Address, Phone number) consistency across all directories and citations.
- Perform local keyword research and competitor analysis to improve rankings in specific geographical areas.
Off-Page SEO / Link Building
- Develop and execute link-building strategies to increase domain authority.
- Conduct outreach and build relationships with niche-relevant websites and influencers.
- Monitor backlinks for quality, relevance, and potential link risks.
Analysis & Reporting
- Track SEO performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and third-party SEO platforms.
- Provide regular performance reports and actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Stay current with search engine algorithm updates, industry trends, and best practices.
Collaboration & Strategy
- Work closely with content creators to ensure optimized content production.
- Coordinate with developers to implement technical SEO recommendations.
- Partner with account managers to communicate progress and results to clients.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 2+ years of proven SEO experience, preferably within an agency environment.
- Technical SEO Knowledge: Familiarity with Google Search Console, Analytics, and other relevant SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz).
- Local SEO Expertise: Experience optimizing GBP profiles, local citations, and hyper-local keyword strategies.
- On-Page SEO Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to optimize content, perform thorough keyword research, and address technical issues.
- Link-Building Skills: Proven track record of creating and executing effective outreach campaigns and off-page strategies.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret data, generate insights, and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain complex SEO concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Self-Motivation: Capacity to work independently, handle multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
