Key Responsibilities
Proposal Writing and Management
Analyze government solicitations, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and other bid opportunities to determine requirements and compliance needs.
Develop clear, compelling, and customized proposals that align with solicitation criteria, highlighting the organization’s strengths and differentiators.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., subject matter experts, project managers, and leadership) to gather information and ensure proposals accurately reflect the organization’s capabilities.
Manage the full proposal lifecycle, including outlining, drafting, editing, and submission, while adhering to deadlines.
Conduct thorough reviews of proposals to ensure compliance with technical, legal, and budgetary requirements.
Maintain a repository of proposal templates, case studies, and other content to streamline future responses.
Content Creation
Develop engaging and relevant content for social media platforms to promote the organization’s services and achievements.
Write targeted
Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all communication channels.
Research and Analysis
Conduct research on government agencies and potential opportunities to inform proposal strategy.
Analyze competitor proposals and industry trends to refine and improve the organization’s proposal process.
Administrative and Reporting Duties
Track and report on proposal activities, including win/loss rates and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
Maintain organized documentation of all submitted proposals and related materials.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in proposal writing, preferably for government solicitations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to articulate technical concepts in a clear and persuasive manner.
Familiarity with government contracting and procurement processes, including FAR/DFARS compliance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proposal management tools (e.g., Adobe Acrobat, Smartsheet, or similar).
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Experience in content creation for social media and
Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Preferred Skills
Experience working with minority-owned and women-owned businesses.
Knowledge of SEO principles for content creation.
Graphic design or layout experience for visually enhanced proposals is a plus.
