POSITION: Social Media Specialist
COMPANY: Rise Girl™
REPORTING TO: Operations Manager
STATUS: Independent Contractor, 20-25 Hours/Week
COMPENSATION: $4-5/hour, based on experience
LOCATION: Remote, working primarily in Eastern Standard Time (EST)
START DATE: February 28, 2025

ABOUT THE SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST POSITION
As a Social Media Specialist for Rise Girl™, you will play a vital role in telling our story, growing our community, and engaging with our audience of young girls and their moms. You will create and execute social media strategies that bring our mission to life, inspire our audience, and drive engagement with our brand. Your creativity and expertise will ensure our social platforms become spaces of empowerment, education, and connection.

You will collaborate with our CEO, Operations Manager, and content team to plan, create, and analyze content that resonates with our audience. From Instagram Reels to thought-provoking LinkedIn posts, your work will help us make a lasting impact on the lives of the girls and moms we serve.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Content Creation & Strategy:
Plan and execute content calendars that align with Rise Girl™’s mission and goals.
Create engaging posts, videos, and stories across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other platforms.
Brainstorm and implement innovative campaigns to boost audience engagement and brand awareness.
Community Engagement:
Respond to comments, messages, and mentions promptly and professionally.
Build relationships with followers, fostering a sense of community.
Collaborate with moms and participants to feature real stories and testimonials.
Analytics & Reporting:
Monitor key social media metrics like engagement rates, follower growth, and reach.
Provide weekly and monthly reports to the Operations Manager with actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
Trend Research & Adaptation:
Stay updated on social media trends and adapt strategies to align with the latest best practices.
Test new content formats, trends, and platform features to expand reach and engagement.
Brand Consistency:
Ensure all content aligns with Rise Girl™’s voice, values, and branding guidelines.
Work closely with the content and marketing teams to maintain a cohesive brand image.

Our mission is to equip girls in grades 3-8 with the tools they need to build confidence, foster positive connections, develop healthy habits, and cultivate a strong sense of self.
